Lest we forget
To the editor:
The incomparable bungling of the business of our country from Biden and his “administration” is beyond the pale. Here is but one example of how wrong this president has been and how his selection of advisors has cost this country incalculable billions of dollars and will continue to do so until he is out of office.
When addressing the inflation issue last year, the one that was obvious to all of us living in the throes of the heaviest price increases going back to 2008, Joe said the following in a White House Press conference in July of 2021.
“There’s nobody suggesting there’s unchecked inflation on the way — no serious economist.” (https://www.reddit.com/r/SaltyArmy/comments/qr3551/gopwr_yt_amid_rising_prices_biden_claims_theres/)
Biden’s media coconspirators aided him during most of last year by treating inflation like it was nothing more than a “bogeyman” meant to scare the public for partisan ends. The Federal Reserve, an alleged “non-partisan” agency tasked with, among other things, managing inflation, while promoting maximum employment and stable interest rates, insisted that inflation was caused by those infamous “transitory” forces related to the reopening of the economy and “temporary” supply chain snafues. They took their eye off the rampant inflation “ball” encouraged by Biden’s policy signals, dumping Trump’s America First Policies and Trump’s call for energy independence, Biden returned to Obama’s unsustainable and absurd energy policies.
Another Biden advisor, Nobel Prize economist Joseph Stiglitz said, “the fear of inflation is a Red Herring designed to distract us from the need for policies to reduce inequality.” (https://thewealthcreator.net/project-syndicate-the-fear-of-inflation-is-a-red-herring-designed-to-distract-us-from-the-need-for-policies-to-reduce-inequality/)
Well, it certainly has us distracted now. Could it be the distraction wasn’t the fear of inflation but rather the policies focused on by the Biden administration?
And now, here we are with the highest inflation numbers in 40 years with the Fed clearly not in command of anything and gasoline prices, food prices and the cost of housing have all spiraled out of control with no end in sight.
The massive destruction caused to our country, particularly against the lower and fixed income Americans, in just a little more than one year, resulting from the election of Joe Biden will be lamented for decades if history is permitted to be honestly and truthfully written by the “woke,” Socialist Democratic Party.
