Biden’s State of the Union lacking
To the editor:
Biden, with the next-to-the-lowest approval rating of any President gave a State of the Union address and again failed to deliver on what folks expected to be done about the staggering costs seen by everyone over inflation at the grocery store, the gas stations and the cost of housing.
President Biden goes on and bemoans the fact that Trump reduced taxes on the so-called wealthy in order to get corporations to move money back from offshore accounts into the U.S. and start making things in the U.S. At the same time, he moans over this, he wants to claim credit for more factories and things that are coming back into the U.S. to be built here. Just what policies has Biden sought that made this happen? None.
President Biden’s policies of reducing inflation is to tell people to reduce their prices at the same time wanting more taxes from these same people. The policy of taking the tax rate from 21 percent to 28 percent, a 30 percent increase on businesses, and reducing prices is ridiculous.
No one believes this kind of stuff can happen and yet Biden continues on his merry masquerade of saying things that simply can’t happen.
