Virtual auction for Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife is now live

Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife is holding its second virtual auction to protect and preserve the wildlife of Cape Coral. Donations will go towards our burrowing owl and gopher tortoise maintenance program as well as community education. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the purchase of habitat where protected species such as the endangered burrowing owl, gopher tortoise, and little blue heron live. We also look to acquire land adjacent to canals and lakes which host manatees and numerous waterfowl, wading birds and fish.
The yearly Burrowing Owl Festival — Wildlife & Environmental Expo is our major fundraiser.
The Auction is live now and you may bid until Feb. 27.
Auction Items include gift cards to The Melting Pot (Fort Myers), The Pawnbroker Restaurant (Fort Myers), Cruisers Club (Cape Coral), Jet’s Pizza, Bert’s Bar and Grill (Matlacha), Blue Pointe Oyster Bar and Seafood Grill (Fort Myers), Matanzas (Fort Myers Beach), Cantina Laredo (Fort Myers), Blanc (Fort Myers), Lobster Lady (Cape Coral) and so many more wonderful restaurants in the area. We also are offering fun packages including tickets to the Ringling Museum (Sarasota), Edison Ford Museum (Fort Myers), The Chisholm Heritage Trail (Oklahoma) and Calusa Center Nature Center and Planetarium (Fort Myers) to name just a few.
Yes, we have golf packages, and cruises and many, many environmental trips including ones by local birding experts Vince McGrath and Charlie Ewell and some of our extremely knowledgeable members (burrowing owls, butterflies, and purple martins). The Alliance for the Arts has painting and craft classes for the whole family as well as memberships.
The auction offers some great educational, year-long family memberships such as one to the Alliance for the Arts, and IMA (Imaginarium). These are great investments if you have children and/or grandchildren interested in science and math. If you are interested in the care of wounded or troubled birds, we have two private visits to CROW (Sanibel), and a special trip to Shy Wolf Sanctuary (Naples).
More than 50 pieces of art including some produced by our members, which are each so incredibly special will be auctioned off. If you are looking to decorate your home with art and fine art, you need to look no further.
Did you ask for brewery and cigar lounges? Yes, we have those, too. Have you visited Timber’s Restaurant & Fish Market in Cape Coral or any number of local breweries? We also have a gift card for Wicked Dolphin Distillery.
