Thank you Gov. DeSantis for a job well done

To the editor:

I recently read an opinion in the Pine Island Eagle that heavily criticized Gov. DeSantis for his position against COVID restrictions. I strongly disagree. Thanks to DeSantis, Florida is like an island of sunshine amidst a nation filled with darkness and gloom. In fact, Florida may very well be the best place in the world to be free.

People are pouring into Florida to escape all the harsh COVID restrictions and mandates implemented in their states. Many have lost their businesses and have experienced significant reductions in income. Many have lost their jobs because they refused to sacrifice their own beliefs and good judgement over getting an experimental vaccine with serious potential side effects. People are fed up with having irritating chemical swabs stuck up their nose. They are tired of having to wear ineffective unhealthy masks. They miss all the events and activities that have been cancelled. Parents are angry over COVID restrictions being imposed on their children without their consent. People are fed up with the fear mongering, threats, lies and division that has been created by the media and Joe Biden. Families have been torn apart and friendships lost.

All of this misery has been created over a virus that has a 99%+ survival rate. This does not make sense. So, what IS all of this about? Hospitals overflowing? I have not heard of that happening in Florida. A lot of people are afraid to go even near a hospital much less a doctor’s office. Could all of this be about political control? Looks that way to me.

Thankfully, DeSantis is aware of what is going on and has lifted problem COVID restrictions in the state of Florida. He agrees that it is up to the individual to get vaccinated or not or to wear a mask or not. These personal decisions are to be respected by individuals and businesses alike. This is not a choice to be made by the government with dire consequences for noncompliance.

Thank you, Gov. DeSantis for a job well done and making Florida such a happy place to be!

Seems like all the COVID blame is being placed on the unvaccinated; however, the vaccinated are indeed spreading the illness to each other. NYC which has some of the strictest vaccine mandates in the U.S. is dealing with a major surge of COVID. A U.S. Navy combat ship is isolated in Cuba because of a major COVID outbreak even though 100% of those onboard are vaccinated. Cruise ships require proof of vaccination and yet they have outbreak problems. Israel has the largest percentage of fully vaccinated people in the world (90%) and they still have problems so much so that they are considering the use of a fourth booster shot!

Dr. Robert Malone, the inventor of mRNA technology which is used to create the COVID vaccines, has recently referred to the vaccinated as the “super-spreaders” not the unvaccinated. It would appear that he may be right. He has actively warned people about the potential consequences of getting these shots and has strongly urged parents not to have their young children vaccinated. You can Google all this information and read the details for yourselves.

In conclusion it would appear that all of these COVID restrictions and mandates are not working. However, if you strongly believe in implementing such controls, please take a trip up north and experience how gloomy life is up there. Then you return perhaps you will have a better appreciation for Gov. DeSantis and being free in Florida. DeSantis 2022!
