Island youngsters enjoy American Legion Auxiliary’s 2nd Annual Pancakes with Santa

The American Legion Auxiliary hosted its 2nd Annual Pancakes with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 18. Santa and his elf came and gift 56 children with gifts for Christmas. We had an amazing turn out. The children came and had breakfast; Emmalee Dahl lead the children in singing “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” to bring Santa to welcome everyone. The kids also decorated cookies and took and ornament home to decorate. We raffled off two 7-inch tablets and our winners were Hailey Stubbs and Charles Daniels.
The love and support of this Island and families is what allows us to continue to do what we do for our veterans, and their families. I would like to thank our community for sharing this day with us.
Thank you to all our detachments for helping to contribute to the event and their continued support as we work together to help our community. We look forward to seeing you next year.
