The Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District is a career fire department protecting our community. Your fire department provides many services, including, fire suppression, basic life support, rescue services, marine response, vehicle extrication, fire prevention programs, public outreach/education and much more.

The fire district has four strategically placed fire stations to provide the best and fastest response to the community. All four stations are staffed by at least two firefighter/EMTs that are ready to respond and provide care as needed 24/7, 365 days a year. Each station is equipped with a fire engine that responds to any unforeseen emergency. Each engine carries 1,000 gallons of water, firefighting equipment, extrication tools, medical supplies and much more.

Our future plan to advance the fire district and provide a better service to the community is implementing an Advanced Life Support (ALS) program. That is currently in progress for the community.

If you have any questions or would like to provide some feedback, please give us a call at 239-283-0030 or simply stop by Station One Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., to speak to the administrative staff. We would also love to invite anyone to come visit us so we can show you the trucks, tools and provide you an opportunity to meet the crew.

You can always give us a call before visiting to ensure crews are at the station and not out on an emergency call or training. As always, “Our family Serving Yours!”
