Community involvement sought for Memorial Day celebration
To the editor:
Greater Pine Island VFW Post # 4353 will be holding a Memorial Day event on May 31 at 10 a.m. at the Post Memorial. This year we invite more community involvement than the past. The intention is to draw the community to together to recognize the importance of the sacrifices that have been made to make America what it is today, a world leader in freedoms.
The laying of wreaths by the community will be welcomed. This event is in keeping with the VFW motto, “No One Does More For Veterans”
