Thanks Ila and islanders who helped auction raise $415 for Kiwanis/Holloway Scholarship Fund

A huge thank you to Ila Valcarcel for her great idea to auction her old Pine Islandopoly game to donate the proceeds to Kiwanis of Greater Pine Island/Bobby Holloway Scholarship Fund.

The bidding started at $25 and crept up all day (the deadline was 5 p.m.). It started getting interesting when the bidding was over $100. Jon Hunt offered to match any bid up to $200. A few minutes before the deadline, Heather Marie bid $200, and immediately outbid herself with the winning bid of $215.

Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful Pine Island community, the scholarship fund has now been increased by $415!
