Matlacha residents need dialogue with Cape City Council
To the editor:
I have sent the following letter to members of the Cape Coral City Council.
Good Morning,
We in Matlacha are hopeful that the newly appointed Waterway Advisory Board will create an opportunity for dialogue on water issues instead of litigation.
We also hope that in other matters that affect Matlacha, the City will be proactive in communicating with us ahead of time. We are disturbed to learn of the City’s effort to obtain land from the County to allow development of the parcels located at the D&D Bait & Tackle boat launching site.
Your plans might be welcome by Matlacha, but we cannot know without an honest dialogue on such things. The annexation lawsuit is nearing its end. Must we go to court to be heard?
Can you find a way to dialogue with us rather than litigate with us?
