Florida governor has balanced economy with COVID recovery
To the editor:
Currently, there are 25 states that have higher death rate tolls than Florida per 100,000 from “COVID-19.” (Statista)
Four of the five top deadliest states are controlled by Democratic governors and have endured severe, oppressive lockdowns which clearly have not worked.
The death rates in these four states are between 190 and 234 deaths per 100,000, which is 65% to 103% higher than Florida, which has 115 deaths per 100,000.
The totally partisan criticism of our governor, Ron DeSantis, becomes apparent when he is measured against his peers in states where lockdowns have created financial catastrophes, social upheaval and much higher deaths per capita from the China-virus.
Liberals never miss an opportunity to criticize anything and everything Republican but when you shine a light on their claims, dig a little deeper, the criticism becomes blatantly and transparently partisan, intended only to manipulate the uninformed or to foster the non-stop rabid hatred we’ve witnessed from the left for the past four years.
No, it will never stop. Exposing the truth of their one-sided, blinded by hatred, never ceasing attacks will just move them to another false claim, half truth or out of context outbreak.
All we can do is wait for the next election, pray for better oversight at the polling places and hang onto our American values as best we can while we endure the insults and personal abuses from the Socialist Democratic Party.
