Thank you to all who made Christmas Tree Lighting event a huge success
To the editor:
A huge, thank you to all who donated the cookies for the Christmas Tree Lighting event. We had decorated gingerbread cookies, sugar cookies with sprinkles, chocolate chips with pumpkin seeds, raisin oatmeal cookies and many more flavors. In spite of COVID-19, we had a surprising attendance, up to 70, which also included the participants who watched from the surrounding areas. Santa (thank you Mike) was with us and he passed out iridescent necklaces and candy canes to the children. Thank you to George Williamson who donated the lot, Bert’s Bar for providing safe crossing Pine Island Road and Kathleen Walsh, a promising DJ who provided background holiday music. A special thank you to chief engineer Jake Sadlak and his committee for the outstanding display of Christmas tree lights and Barnhill’s Fish Market & More for providing electricity, thank you.
