The day after….

To the editor:

The day after, the Elephants proudly roared for acquitting the president who would be king,

Dismissing charges of obstruction and other things.

Once freed, the Executive Branch ordered all tusks removed.

Only one Elephant in the room, had two.

Two tusks; one steeped with conviction, the other with strength.

The Elephant stood alone,

Proclaiming his love of God and Country guided him to do what he did.

When the Elephant voted against the herd,

Gasps and shrieks of “traitor” filled the room,

Traitor for standing by his God and voting against False Prophets.

The day after, only one Elephant retained two tusks in the room.
