Bobby Holloway Foundation, instructors thanked for swim lessons

To the editor:

Thank you to The Bobby Holloway Foundation for sponsoring swim lessons for our Pine Island students. For the past three years, my daughter (Summer) and I have taken 4th graders who can not swim to lessons at the Pine Island Pool. Every year, there are one or two of them who are scared of the water. One year, a person did not want to put their face in the water, another would not go on a field trip to Cayo Costa.

We would hear, “I can’t do it” We would tell them to say… “I will try,” and they did! It is so rewarding to see them become confident swimmers, going off the diving board and down the slide for the first time. Thank you to Ryan who taught the swim lessons, great job! He was so patient and good with the kids. Also, to Matt and Steve.

Again, thank you and to all who support The Bobby Holloway Foundation, which makes a life-changing difference in kids’ lives.
