... and after the recent food drive!
To the editor:
Thanks to the generosity of Pine Islanders, Post Office letter carriers , Boy Scout Troop 20, the Hookers, Beacon of HOPE and our pantry volunteers, this year’s food drive was an outstanding success. Special thanks to Peg Cruckshank who oversaw the intake of food items. This year’s collection was over 6,000 pounds, and food is still coming in. We are most grateful for all who participated. This provides the pantry with food for the summer months when donations drop off. The Food Pantry served 4,168 clients this past year. Our sincere thanks to all who helped to make this possible.
