Work needed on south end of Stringfellow Road
To the editor:
We have a nice 4-way stop at Pine Island Road and Stringfellow Road here on Pine Island. Thanks to the state for new pavement. But the Commissioners should have investigated Stringfellow Road south at Winn-Dixie. The section of highway has big dips, pockets and the edge is breaking down.
When driving you have little control of your vehicle and it’s worse when water is puddled in pockets. It needs widening, vehicles are crossing center all the time. Why wait until someone gets hurt or killed before this is addressed?
