New push for funding for Helping Paws Animal Sanctuary
To the editor:
There is a no kill cat sanctuary, which houses approximately 200 cats, on St. James City that struggles each and every day. The director is out there 7 days a week with not enough volunteers and I don’t see anyone rallying around to help out that facility.
She does not take stray cats, but does take cats from Lee County Animal Services, when they ask for help, but there is no one out there helping her. She also as an area devoted to leukemia cats and gives of herself 100 percent to these little guys.
Maybe someone would give that facility some consideration.
