Never forget
To the editor:
How many of you seen any news, local or national, honoring those whose sacrifices throughout the years have afforded to all of us the freedoms we have been blessed with today here in the United States?
As stated on many of our Purple Heart Monuments throughout the United States, “All gave some, some gave all” expresses the sacrifices of those heroes we should have honored on Aug. 7, 2016 for National Purple Heart Day.
It truly saddens me that we, as a nation, have forgotten our heroes, because of those who do not understand the word sacrifice as being the first and most important word in nation building.
Being afforded the opportunity to be a part of the many friends and my heroes here in Southwest Florida and across the United States that should have been honored this month, we promise to continue to carry that torch for honoring those sacrifices everyday of the year.
