Kiwanis thanks contributors
To the editor:
The Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island is blessed and honored to have been a part of the Pine Island Community for more than 30 years. During that time the members of the club have worked tirelessly to make a positive impact on the youth of our community. This year our main fundraiser, The Taste of Pine Island, was cancelled because of rain and the wet conditions of the fields. Without this event, the club’s ability to provide scholarships to deserving Pine Island students was severely limited.
We reached out to the sponsors and vendors of the event and to the community for support. The response was beyond our wildest expectations! Because of the support of the community, the Kiwanis Club was able to present 23 deserving students with scholarships.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the businesses and individuals who made this possible. This list is in no particular order and if we missed someone, we are truly sorry but no less grateful.
