Hookers thank businesses, churches for help with back-to-school supply drive
To the editor:
The Matlacha Hookers want to give a shout out to all of the businesses and churches that helped us make the back-to-school supplies project a great success. The following businesses were generous in letting us put collection tubs in their facilities to be used to gather the school supplies; in Matlacha: the U.S. Post Office, CW Fudge, The Perfect Cup, and Traders Hitching Post. In the Center we put tubs at: Little Lilly’s Island Deli, Island Girl Fitness, Winn-Dixie, Island Grill, Century 21 Sunbelt Realty, the public library, Capital Bank and Stonegate Bank. The churches that also supported us included: the First Baptist Church of Pine Island, Fishers of Men Lutheran Church, Pine Island Community Church, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, and the Pine Island United Methodist Church.
The Hookers would not have been as successful without the cooperation of these businesses, organizations, and churches.
Thank you for helping us again.
