Oasis High School JROTC gets it right

Under the capable leadership of Cape teenager, Brandon Pierson, a team of Oasis high schoolers produced their second annual International Night highlighting the cultures of many of the nationalities in our community. Among them were German, Japanese, Irish, Italian, Mexican, Russian, Swiss and Cherokee.
The program consisted of educational presentations and performances along with samples of foods from the various cultures we encounter every day here in the Cape. I told the story about Irish dance and was accompanied by young dancers from the Kellyn Celtic Arts Dance Academy who, afterwards in the lobby, were seen teaching intricate dance steps to interested students eager to learn.
A great evening packed with energy, information, parents, teachers and friends. Thank you, Oasis JROTCers.
