The refugee solution
To the editor:
The free nations should take in the Syrian refugees and, upon arrival in each country, all men between the ages of 18 and 40 should be enlisted into a military force and trained and sent back to Syria as our “boots on the ground.” This would solve many dilemmas. First we would separate out potential terrorists and secondly, we would give these men something to be proud of they are fighting for their family, their history, their freedom and their country. This would also provide a chance to educate the woman and children so that when they return to Syria they can carry on what they have learned in a free country. Oh, by the way, my aunt is Christian syrian and my uncle fought with the Marines in the Pacific. Both passed now, sad to say.
