Leadership in America

4 min read

To the editor:

Unfortunately, as I look at how present day leadership in the United States of America (on both sides of the aisle) I see how priorities are geared more toward their legacies than the protection of our great nation’s freedoms for our future generations.

Our leadership and many of our leaders negotiate with the largest terrorism provider in the world whose leadership calls for “DEATH TO AMERICA” and many of our allies.

These same leaders support the breaking of our nation’s laws through supporting illegal immigration by rewarding those who broke the law.

Reading the pros and cons of so many of our opinion writers I often wonder if they fail to see the true forest through the trees. Helen Keller once said, “the only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” So many of those Americans in these so-called leadership roles have never contributed to the sacrifices in our nation building. It is a true slap in the face to our forefathers, those heroes that lie below those white marble markers around the world in defense of our nation’s freedoms and those who served this great nation in our military both past and present in our protection. It is often said, “for those who fought for it freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.” The Price of Freedom is not Free.

“Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country” no longer exists in this nation today.

It reminds of the 1960s and 1970s when so many Americans sought so many ways to defer themselves from serving our nation in fear that they may be called upon to stop the atrocity of killings by a nation’s communist regime. With 2.7-plus million of our military serving with boots on the ground in Vietnam during the Vietnam War we are now faced with 13.8 million claiming to be Vietnam Veterans. How many of those 11.1 million liars are those draft dodgers of Christmas Past from above? North Vietnam General Giap stated that the Americans did not lose the war in Vietnam, they lost the war in the streets of America.

A very special thank you goes out to Jane Fonda and her likes who should never be honored, but rather carry part of the burden of knowing they contributed to some of those 58,000-plus lives my heroes) on that black granite wall in Washington, D.C. Treason cannot be forgiven with an apology.

After serving five years in World War II in protection of those suffering from the atrocities of Hitler, Tojo and Mussolini my father (the dreams of my father) and the many friends I enjoy today from that era, was to provide safety and protection for those in suffering and protect the freedom of the nation they came from through their sacrifices. This is what we as a nation should honor with “NO GREATER LOVE.” Not those false idols that lead by a teleprompter and a smile.

Honor those who, through their sacrifices, have given us the gift of freedom, not those false idols that turn their backs on our heroes and our nation.

Honor those who protect our safety in our cities and not those criminals who pillage communities with no family values or moral compass, and no goals of improving the moral compass in those communities.

And, honor those publishers such as the Breeze Newspapers who report with objectivity and not their personal bias, that recognizes the sacrifices provided by our patriots over the years so that there can be freedom of press.
