Drones pose a serious danger
To the editor:
Private drones should be declared federal contraband and their possession – let alone their use – should be made a serious felony.
Privacy is NOT the issue at all in any way : Lives and property are at stake !
Small drones now on the market for small money can easily be converted to guided weapons to deliver explosives and/or incendiaries (like gasoline) to public or private property and moreover can be used as a guided tool of assassination. Every hit man worth his fee surely must now own a nicely modified (*) stable of these little fellows, both shotgun and rifle styles.
I am simply astonished that this matter has not been under public discussion. . Has the hobby-goods lobby got THAT much influence in WDC ?
(*) Each shot requires two opposing shells/bullets when fired from such a light platform.
