Small percentage of smokers at the American Legion control the health of all members
To the editor:
It appears that less than one third of the members who are smokers at the American Legion are polluting the air inside the post for more than two thirds of other veterans and members.
When a veteran speaks out they “they” fought for the right to smoke, I say this. How about all the veterans who do not smoke; their wives, their children or grandkids. How about the members of the SAL, Ladies Auxiliary, Riders and their guests. Don’t they count?
Vote for the by-law change to eliminate smoking at the American Legion. Show up May 20 and vote.
