Critical thinking

To the editor:

A recent article I read was titled: “A Masterpiece for the Ages.” It was a statement pertaining to Jordan Spieth whose incomparable four-stroke victory at the Masters at the Augusta National Golf Club, bedazzled the huge crowd with his fearless play.

In my opinion, I watched six masterpieces on television that Sunday evening. It was the Golden Apple Awards. Each teacher was introduced by the student who nominated them. I was wonderfully captivated by the deep passion and loving attitude the teachers had for their students and their profession. Until you see first-hand a replay of this magnificent event,

I doubt sincerely that you will be able to understand how wonderfully qualified each of these six winners are. Their graciousness to their past teachers who had encouraged them and instilled in them that desire to teach was fused in each one of those teacher’s total being. They all projected their ability to inspire their students to think critically and outside the box as they do.

Their collective genius and the love that the Golden Apple Award recipients showed for their country, their God and the Lee County School System was spiritually uplifting to me.
