To the editor:

Saturday afternoon, Scott and I were going fishing for my birthday. A gentleman at the dock (about 15 years old) offered his leftover bait since he was done fishing for the day. Scott asked if he had any luck and he said “no sir.”

We were off to our favorite spot and with my second cast – fish on!

Thanks to that young man and his kind offer, he made my birthday special! Hope we meet him at the dock again. Maybe we will have leftover bait and can pay it forward.
