Stop the world, I need to get off
To the editor:
Mr Vander Laun – you must be a winter visitor – if so, welcome. We who live on Pine Island year round must alter our winter travel times to accommodate additional visitors so I would suggest rather than installing, as you suggest, more government regulations such as a stoplight or ask businesses in Matlacha to accommodate your travel needs, that you adjust your hours of travel.
The businesses in Matlacha are here to stay. Slow speed limits in a residential community, an open-on-demand drawbridge, lots of shops with artisans trying to make a living and heavier than usual traffic can create an unpleasant situation.
Patience, summer is coming.
