If conditions aren’t safe for boating, stay off the water
To the editor:
Today (11/26/14) I just saw on the news that there were boaters out in the Gulf around Red Fish Pass and the Coast Guard was in the process of rescue. My weather station says winds are steady at around 6 to 9 mph with gust of 25 mph.
Now I do not care who you are, but there is no reason for anyone in their right mind need to be out in a boat in this weather. As far as I am concerned the Coast Guard should make all of you repay them the cost of the rescue plus a healthy fine for stupidity.
