To the editor:

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island wishes to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Fall Festival a tremendous success. It takes a community to raise a child and the Pine Island community excels in supporting its children.

Special thanks go to everyone at Pine Island Elementary School who helped make it possible for us to use this wonderful venue for this event. It was perfect and everyone involved was most helpful.

Huge thanks to all the organizations, businesses and individuals who gave of their time and/or money. Without your support, the event would not have been a success. The list is long and includes: Cathy Frahm and her entire Trunk or Treat crew, Bobby Holloway Memorial Fund, Greater PI Elks Club, True Blue Pools, Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Rossman, John and Fran Thomas, St. James Automotive, Pine Island Eagle, Steve Delaplane Insurance Agency, Nick & Jane Mohar, Eric & Lazy Flamingo, Stonegate Bank, Riverdale Dental, Winn Dixie, Robin Parmerlee, Suntrust Bank, Dairy Queen, PI Boy Scouts, Pine Island/Matlacha Fire Dept., Pine Island Community Church, Beacon of HOPE, Greater Pine Island Water Co, Lions Club, Matlacha Hookers, Spa 33, Pine Island Moose Lodge, Raymond James Financial Services, the St. James Hobby Club and everyone else who helped with this event.

Special thanks to Scott Player, who helped with absolutely everything. And last, but certainly not least, an especially big thank you goes to all the wonderful volunteers who came, and worked, and worked and worked! We could not have done it without every single one of you.

Thank you all!

Tonya Player,

President, Kiwanis Club
