Immigration slogans
To the editor:
President Obama is bringing out some slogans to get support for his immigration reform, such as rounding up and deporting criminals, not families. Boy, how can you not like this slogan? I mean there can’t be anything wrong with leaving families alone and focusing on rounding up all the folks that are felons like, killers and rapists and deporting them not families?
The only catch to this is that our police departments, prosecutors, judges and juries already had all these folks rounded up and in jails. So how do you spend millions of dollars and hours of man power to round up folks for deportation and come up with a slogan that is catchy and takes the citizens mind off not deporting families if these law breakers are already in jail?
Well if you are President Obama you order your Attorney General to let tens of thousands of these illegal law breakers out of jail even though they had not served out their sentences. Of course if the public ever found out they would be furious and upset for awhile but knowing that Americans are stupid, according to one of the folks that worked on the Affordable Care Act, and forgetful is a political must for this slogan to work. So letting all these illegal lawbreakers out early this year will allow enough time for the stupid citizen to forget that the illegal lawbreakers were let out of prison. To date there has been no good reason given to allow illegal criminals back out on the streets of this country without serving their time unless it was to give our Home Land Security the work of rounding up and deporting illegals instead of securing the border.
Hence today, Obama’s political use of citizens’ forgetfulness and stupidity the rounding up and deporting of illegal law breakers, not families, is a rock solid slogan that the American people can focus on to support his reformed immigration plan.
