Shocked about Loughren’s transfer

To the editor:

I was shocked to learn that the new owners of Winn-Dixie, Bi Low Corporation, is transferring store manager Dan Loughren. Not only will this be a loss to his many customers and friends but also the organizations that Dan and Winn-Dixie supported over the years. Our Food Pantry, for one, and many other island originations.

Dan took a personal interest in the pantry providing space for a collection bin, donating food products, helping with fund raisers and giving us every discount price possible.

I don’t know if this decision can be reversed, but Bi Low will never find a better man for store manager on Pine Island than Dan.
