Second chance, please…

To the editor:

A few months ago, we got a “to go” order from the new restaurant “Saltwater Smokehouse,” where our beloved old “Porky’s use to be. I had a wood grilled burger. When I ever looked at the bill, I was shocked at the price “This better be awfully good!” It was the biggest best sirloin burger I ever ate! The wood grilling made it so juicy and tasty. Constantly being on a diet, I fully appreciate how much healthier the lower in fat and calorie it is by wood grilling. I don’t know how it can still be juicy, but it is.

Actually, I checked around, the price is in line with other restaurants. They have desserts, too. Yeah! Porky’s never did. I am on a dessert diet, so I didn’t frequent Porky’s much. This new place is very, very clean.

Now, if they only had draft beer, I’d be in heaven. It’s my understanding, they pride themselves on their many fresh salads. Salads aren’t my thing, so someone else will have to write that review.

I have noticed that their parking lot is usually empty, now. They rushed to open at the end of season so the food and service were uneven. They have now revamped their menu and re-trained the service. They are very open to suggestions. So, if you were turned off in any way, please, please, help me keep them open. I can’t think of life without my favorite burger
