‘Alice’ was delightful entertainment

1 min read

To the editor:

I am smiling, happy and enthused. I just saw “Alice in Wonderland” at the Fishers of Men Lutheran Church on Stringfellow.

It was delightful entertainment, very cleverly and imaginatively done, using people as props.

The costumes were fascinating and closely connected to the original illustrations of the original Alice.

Ah! But the fast-paced actors! They looked their parts, which made it so much more fun.

There was a nice turnout but I saw some empty seats. Why? Pine Island, you should come out to this theater in the square. We sat on all four sides of the floor-level stage which made the audience feel a part of the action.

To top everything off it is free!

Hope to see you in a couple of months when the offering will be “The Miracle Worker.”

“Alice” was produced by the Pine Island Playhouse.
