Replacing the flag at the Center

Re: Don Berg’s letter regarding the community flag’s condition.
A replacement flag had been donated to the Lee County Patriots by Center Bait and Tackle. When Dee and Travis went to replace the existing flag, the rope was broken and they were unable to raise the new one. They did not know who to contact about replacing the rope.
Dee tells me that the rope and the flag have been replaced and I’m sure all Pine Island citizens thank this anonymous patriot.
The Pine Island Patriots have every intention of replacing the flag as needed. Center Bait will replace this one when it is necessary. Should other businesses wish to donate a flag, it would be appreciated. The flag needs to be replaced about every 7 to 8 months.
