Matlacha Post Office mural

To the editor:

The wall at the Matlacha Post office building is sponsored by the Matlacha Island Chamber of Commerce and is still a work in progress. We are fortunate to have a world renowned artist, Leoma Lovegrove, who volunteered her time to create this work of art. Parts of the bridge are incorporated into the mural. The wall has already been focused in the State of Florida Public Art List. We all were thinking very serious on methods to promote the business community on Matlacha Island and portray the artistic talents of our Island. As owners of the building, we are installing a light so you, Mr. Presser, will be able to see it coming on the island at night.
