To the editor:

The Matlacha Hookers extend a sincere thank you to our generous community. Once again we worked together with businesses and organizations from Greater Pine Island to raise monies for our Hooked on Education Scholarship program.

Thank you to the Moose for providing a warm and friendly atmosphere to host our event and the use of their kitchen; Trader’s Hitching Post and Century 21 for being the drop off locations; Little Lilly’s Deli, Sandy Hook, Pine Island Feed, Beacon of Hope and Winn-Dixie for providing donations in kind; and finally to the members of the Matlacha Hookers and the Matlacha Mariners for giving up their time to achieve a successful event.
