Thank you for support of 6th Annual Toys for Girls and Boys
To the editor:
The 6th Annual Christmas Toys For Girls and Boys, which took place Saturday, Dec. 8, at The Olde Fish House Marina wishes to thank the following people for their generosity and kindness in helping us to donate a van full of toys, which go directly to our islands children.
First and foremost, thanks to Peg Harmon and her band of merry elves who wrap every single gift to be presented to kids needing a little something under the tree.
Our gratitude goes out to Meghan with The Pine Island Eagle for helping us both promote and cover the event.
We also wish to thank The Olde Fish House Marina and Restaurant for letting us use their unique setting and for feeding us the best local seafood on the planet.
A very special blessing goes out to my songwriting friends Trailer Park Barbie and Annie Wenz for bringing their energy and talent to the stage.
A shout out for Leoma Lovegrove as she graced us with a painting done while I sang “Do You Hear What I Hear” which almost broke my heart with its beauty as Anne and Barbie sang along.
In short, thanks to all of you for creating a memorable and moving experience, which will benefit our local children with a special gift from Santa.
Merry Christmas to all
Kip Lawrence
