Any lessons learned from this past election?
To the editor:
Hopefully we’ve learned something from the past election process and there certainly was a lot wrong with it. Not to pick on Obama, but he had 220 fund-raisers, Reagan had four. The point being if you can’t get across your point in four hours your never going to get it across. As we know both candidates evaded the questions just like a professional politician. Talk for hours and say nothing. The scanners were a joke as well as the ballots.
Some clown suggested they have two ballots, one in English, one Spanish. Duh, that was the trouble in the first place.
What burns longer? A boy’s birthday cake candles or a girl’s birthday cake candles? Answer to follow.
And speaking of Wheel of Fortune, one of my favorite shows. Why do they, as well as many other shows, have to give away so much money, a million dollar space, wouldn’t the contestant be just as happy with $10,000? Contrary to popular belief, the money fairy does not pay for the shows. Sponsors do, and we pay the sponsors. Do I hear a duh? I would hope so. Sorry Pat and Vanna.
Answer: Neither, candles burn shorter not longer.
You heard the statistics, 71 percent of Hispanics voted for Obama, 82 percent of blacks voted for Obama. I though it was a secret ballot. How do they know who voted for who? Probably a simple answer, but I haven’t had anybody give me an answer yet.
