Wake up before it’s too late

To the editor:

I was one of the people who spoke at the water board meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 25, and not quoted in the Eagle. I would like to again share the information that I presented to the Pine Island Water Board.

In 1998 and again in 2005, the 11 EPA Employee Unions representing 7,000 environmental scientists, lawyers, engineers and other environmental professional employees of the civil called for a moratorium on drinking water fluoridation programs across the country. EPA management was asked to recognize fluoride as posing a serious risk of causing cancer in people.

The letter to EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson asked that a public warning be issued setting the health-based drinking water standard for fluoride at zero, as it is known for probable human carcinogens.

Please do your own research on this Google “Why EPA Headquarters’ Union of Scientists Oppose Fluoridation” or www.nteu280.org. There is also a press release for Aug. 19, 2005, “EPA Unions Calls for Nationwide Moratorium Fluorida-tion, Congressional Hearing on Adverse Effects, Youth Cancer Cover Up.”

To all Pine Islanders and Cape Coral residents receiving water from Pine Island Water Association – why are we allowing fluoridation of our water when the EPA has knowledge of the dangers?”

Note: Fluoride is big business – aluminum and pesticide companies have to get rid of their waste. They cannot dump it as it is a highly toxic waste and they would have to pay a great deal of money to dispose of it. By selling fluoride to water companies in our counties, cities and states they can make huge profits. All at the cost of our health.

Fluoride stays in the body and accumulates in the bones, organs and other parts of the body, causing cancer, Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism, breathing problems, etc.

Let’s wake up before it is to late! Vote no to fluoride!
