Upside down morality
To the editor:
Attacks against Tim Tebow for living a good and decent life and for showing his appreciation to God for providing him with extraordinary athletic abilities is sad commentary on 21st century morality and values. Tebow’s gesture of going to one knee and looking to the heavens to reflect his appreciation to his God should in no way offend anyone and, as a matter of fact, represents only a moment between Tim and his God that is no one else’s business. This is simply another attack, by jealous individuals and simple-minded pinheads, directed towards the waning decency in America. Talk about upside down morality what about the public display where baseball players and other performers, in full view of fans and TV audiences, play with their crotch. What about football and basketball players, when they don’t like a fan’s reaction, waving the middle finger. What about politicians lying to constituents and not making good on their promises? And, what about the practice of murdering millions of babies in the womb? Attacks against Tim Tebow is another black mark on civility and morality in America and a sick waste of time.
