The Obamanation in the U.S.A
To the editor:
Barack Obama 2008, presidential election campaign speech: “My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the world. I hope you will join with me as we try to change it.”
2011 result was: Our government is unable to get a handle on runaway spending and debt. It has become this generation’s problem. Already we are living through shame of being publicly lectured by our hard socialist Chinese creditors. America is in trouble, she is economically stagnant, permanently debt-bound, heavily regulated, less self governing, less free, her defenses have been weakened and her space program canceled. Ronald Reagan has pretty much been erased from history. The good news is: The masses have awaken. The duty of rebellion to the injustice that is now law has become apparent.
We have been at the brink before, and each and every time the American people arose to seize the moment and do what it took to get the job done. In 1778 we were told that no upstart colonists could defeat the strongest nation in the world, we decided to change the course of history.
In 1860 we were told the Union could not hold and that America was over, yet we brought forth a new birth of freedom.
In 1980 we were told that the American Century was at an end, yet we launched a great economic expansion, rebuilt our military and revived our national spirit.
Those are only three excellent examples of the American people and their love for country. Many more exist. it is imperative that we show this spirit once again in the 2012 elections. If we do not we may not get another chance.
