Job well done by Mosquito Control
To the editor:
Just a short note to thank the men and women of the Lee County Mosquito Control District . This season …… though as dry as can be has proven to be terrible as far as the mosquito population . It is one of the worst that I can recall being a long-term resident of Lee County and the Pine Island area. This is a never-ending battle and I’m sure often goes on as a thankless job . After calling them, ( along with hundreds of others ) to voice my displeasure with the nasty little creatures ( mosquitoes) the LCMCD launched a full out assault by air and land that same evening and for that I am truly grateful and can once again venture outdoors especially at night without donating blood unwillingly ! Thanks again for a great job and keep up the good work !
