Consider those who do not smoke

2 min read

To the editor:

When are you clubs going to wise up. You’re losing members left and right and infecting others with your smoke-filled rooms. I feel sorry for the officers that have to spend a lot of time in the clubs because of the amount of smoke that enters their lungs. How many people’s names have to be put on the boards before you do something about it?

If the smokers can’t go outside for a few minutes to show consideration for the other members, then they’re not much of a human being. Maybe a couple law suits will fix things up.

Hey, I smoked two packs a day for 30 years until I discovered how stupid it is. But I also showed consideration for the people who don’t smoke.

Try counting elephants instead. A drunk driver usually kills one to three people, while a smoker contributes to the death of a room full of people.

Of course the smokers should have a choice. Either step outside or have a designated area half mile into the woods with a heavy concentrated population of mosquitoes. And, with any luck, Obama will be there with you.

Why am I complaining, me, a non-member? because I lost a lot of dear friends due to smoking. It could have been avoided with consideration.

Hopefully you wouldn’t blow smoke in a baby’s face so why blow it in the faces of friends and fellow members.

So, for the benefit of your own health, as well as others, please try to quit. If you can’t quit, please take it outside.
