We should be thanking President Bush

To the editor:

I would like to respond to John G. Bunch’s letter of St. James City. He is giving President Obama credit for keeping our country safe, delivering the promise of getting Osama Bin Laden, and showing great leadership and courage for flying into Pakistan without permission.

Let us also give credit to President Bush for establishing Homeland Security which is being used by our government. Also an acknowledgement to Bush for the information obtained during interrogation under his administration which led to finding Bin Laden. Obama would not have allowed these tactics to be used, however, he does take credit for the results.

President Obama flew into Pakistani airspace without permission, this is true. We must also be thankful to President Bush for making arrangements with Pakistan 10 years ago after 9-11 giving us permission to do just that.

Thank you President Obama? Yes, and thank you very much President Bush.
