To the editor:

I am writing you today to thank everyone in the 150 to 200 boats that went to the Barge Party III in Matlacha Pass last weekend. We were able to raise over $5,000 for our Little League baseball! I have many sponsors to thank staring with Bert’s Bar and Grill, Olde Fish House Marina, Friendly Frankie’s Liquor Stores, A-1 Marine, Island Crab and Bubba’s Roadhouse. To Jim and Robin from the Nautical Mile magazine, your free ad and Party on the Bar web page is why many of the folks were there! Not to mention the $400 that put us over the $5,000 mark! I have to thank Pine Island Printing for our posters and Carmen for the use of her kayaks. The Marine Unit from the Lee County Sheriff for not charging us the $1,000 they could have. To Soapbox, Ground Zero, the New Vinyls and Funk Bone. You all rocked the Pass! And, finally the guys that made it happen, Ray Holton, Scott Robertson, Richard Stauss and Scott Allen.
