Thank you for a successful health event

The Pine Island Pool staff wants to give a huge thank you to all that made our first annual Health and Safety Fair a big success. First and foremost, for Marianne at the Eagle for giving great coverage of the event. Timmy and the firemen for doing such a good job taking blood pressures and cutting up watermelons. Kim Gerz for providing all of the watermelons and Bobby Johnson for cooking and serving all day in the heat. For all the wonderful folks at the Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island, Bobby Holloway Memorial Corp and Winn-Dixie for the donations to buy all the food. The day was complete with Lee Hagen providing live music for the event. Thank you so much, Lee. A big thanks to all the community that came out and supported this event.
All the venders were very pleased with the turnout from the community and plan to return next year. We hope everyone was able to benefit from the resource of information that was provided.
