To the editor:

I am writing to thank many people. small local charitable organization, For The Kids Foundation, recently held its first major fund raiser, a golf tournament, April 16. None of us involved with the charity have ever been involved in such a task, and we had lots of help.

In no particular order, we are grateful to all. We learned it takes many things for such an event to come together.You need players, we had 100; you need sponsors, thanks for your support and generosity; you need a man with experience in putting these events on, to walk you through it, thanks Don.

And you need some place to hold the event. The City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department has such a place. Coral Oaks Golf Course. It is more than a club house and tee boxes and greens, it is people. To Allen Manguson and the entire staff I offer a heartfelt thank you. This event came off flawlessly because of the efforts, professionalism and courtesy of all these individuals.

As we continue to put smiles on the faces of the children on the oncology floor of Children’s Medical Center and hope into the hearts of the parents we will see the faces of all those who helped to make this event a wonderful success. And we look forward to doing it again with all the same people,and more, next April.
