Take back the island beaches

2 min read

To the editor:

Aloha! Forward! March! Go in step north, north to the unused beaches at the north end of Pine Island. Call in air cover from D.C. if you must, but go. Take back those beaches that I have heard, were to be for the people of Pine Island forever! Have a sit-in, a swim-in a live-in, but do something. In my book, those beaches are the biggest crime on the island. After all, you’ll all be in great shape for the take-over after your time picketing and protesting the dollar store.

Sadly, I can’t be here long enough to spearhead this endeavor. However, when I return in a couple of months, I’ll expect to be lying across from the also unused condos, reading Randy White, enjoying the Pine Island beach towel that I did not purchase from the dollar store.

Beautiful souls of Pine Island, do it. The timing for action is now. Don’t let me down. Truly believe a few or many of you have what it takes to correct the beach wrong that’s been allowed to exist for too long.

I leave you in love and light.
