Joke is no laughing matter

To the editor:

To the person who posted a “sex predator” sign on Bocilla Lane:

This was posted on the stop sign on the corner of Bocilla Lane and Stringfellow and I was also told by a neighbor that the same was posted on a channel marker in Jug Creek.

I checked with the Sheriff’s Office and they do not post such signs but did give me a website to visit. I did not see this persons picture any place on the Sheriff’s website.

I am concerned as to the validity of this sign. I like a “joke” as much as the next person, if that is in fact what this is, however, when I read something with this kind of information I do share it with others in the area because I take it very seriously.

If this is in fact a “joke” please remove the posters and find another way to make your friends laugh.
