Who is to blame for the economy
To the editor:
Ever wonder what cause the slump in the economy? Look in the mirror and you’ll see the answer.
Started out by saving a few bucks on foreign product. Now you see the results. Instead of looking at the price tag, look where it is made. Bring the big companies back by charging an exorbitant import tax, take China out of the equation. Put a China worker on unemployment for a change and it’ll stop the abuse of child labor laws over there. Remember, if you are driving a foreign car, you are part of the problem even if their made here. Where do you think the profits go? And, as we’re finding out, they are not that good any way.
Clothing, appliances, shoes, check where they are made. You probably have enough clothes to last 20 years any way unless you are on a diet. I found out that New Balance shoes are made in the U.S.A. There’s a start.
On the plus side, by buying American, you’ll be creating jobs for our returning troops, our kids, our grandkids. It’ll get the trucking industry going again, the mom and pop stores, resorts and on and on.
President (?) that in this country it’s two-weeks vacation and 50 weeks work not the opposite.
And yes, Cape Coral. The Ten Commandments should be in every public building to remind the politicians what the guidelines should be. Apparently, from what we’re seeing, they have no idea what morals are.
People complaining that they should knock off unemployment checks. Well, what do you think they’ll do if they don’t get that check? A normally honest person will be robbing people so they can feed their families. And if you think of it, jail would be a haven for someone out of work. So, it would be an incentive for him to commit a crime.
Of course we’ll have to get rid of our current politicians since they have corruption down to a science.
If the prophets are right, Dec. 21 of 2012, our worries will be over. Hang in there. Smile! It’s not taxable yet.
